Raye Ellen Kline, 62, died on Sunday, May 30th in Saline, MI. Raye was born in Detroit, MI on August 16th, 1958 to William R. and Katherine M. Kline (Isrow). She graduated from East Detroit High School in 1976 and then attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she lived for 45 years. Raye ran an in home daycare for 35 years and helped raise many children in Ann Arbor. She enjoyed cooking for her family and many friends. She always said she would rather eat her own cooking instead of restaurant food because is just “tasted better”. She also enjoyed sewing. Every October you would find her busy making creative costumes for her girls, many of her daycare kids and her nieces and nephews. Raye is survived by her beloved girls Suzanne and Jennifer Edwards who have been with her for over 30 years. Her sisters Wanda Baum, Darlene Bielecki (Mark), Kerry Duletzke (Scott) and Peggy Kline. Her nieces and nephew, Jennie Hazard, Jackie Harvey, Krissy Weigle, Dr. Joseph Bielecki, Nicole Weigle and Katie Bielecki. Three great nephews, Brody Hazard, Elliott Baldes and Gabriel Celli. The many children she took care of throughout the years especially Shelby Sommers and Mary Sugden Simmons. Her dear friends, Kris and Dennis Wernette, Jodi Hoyt, Jessica Hepburn and their families and Becca Wernette. Lastly her beloved dog Lily who joined her on June 1st after crossing over the rainbow bridge. Raye was predeceased by her parents and her only brother William R. Kline, Jr. There will be a celebration of Raye’s life on Saturday, August 14th from 1:00 to 5:00 at the club house of the Scio Farms Mobile Home Community, 6655 Jackson Rd, Ann Arbor. All who knew Raye are welcome to come and share their memories of her. Donation can be made to the family.
