May 3, 1960 - February 5, 2021
Mark Dwight Sturm, 60, of Taylor, MI passed away on February 5th. Mark was often kind hearted, loved to spin a story to grab your ear and he loved meeting new people and having long conversations as if they had been friends for years. He loved to be outdoors and would take the family camping for the entire summer. He could often be found fishing any where that he could. His ability to tell a story is rivaled only by Mark Twain tales. He is survived by his 2 (Sons) Benjamin (Andrea), and Jeremy (Lela), (Siblings) Marlene, Brenda, and Barb. His seven grand children, Renee, Alexandria, Cheyenne, Kira, Ava, Aiden, and Zoey.
Memories from Benjamin: I remember the excitement of being picked up from school to go camping with our father. He taught us to fish, hunt, build a fire, enjoy the simplicity of nature and to enjoy all it has to offer.
Memories from Jeremy: My father taught me that forgiveness is always possible. How to tie a fisherman’s knot, that the tools a man uses don’t have to be expensive. The tools don’t make the man. How to ride a bike and get back up when I was hurt. How to drive a boat. and that life is best enjoyed in semi solitude on a warm summer day.
Condolences can be given to Benjamin or Jeremy at 8809 Carriage Hill Drive Shelby Township MI 48317.
